Arts G-Block, UCD
This project consisted of the complete renovation of existing office areas at ground floor level in the Newman Building, UCD. The works included removing all fixtures and fittings back to the core shell of the building structure encompassing the area. Working with architects RAU an entire new space was formed consisting of; offices, meeting rooms, kitchenette. A new disability access ramp was constructed and fitted on site, full height glazing partitions supplied and fitted, white oak joinery items manufactured and fitted and new treble glazed windows fitted thoroughly.
Nova Building, UCD
Upon the completion of the refurbishment and extension to the old stores in the Nova Innovation Centre, UCD, Marron Bros Ltd were tasked with carrying out various fit-out works. These included; forming sound proof glazed phone booths, a glazed break out meeting room, patch plastering and carpet fitting. The project also included the manufacture and fit of a bespoke kitchen with associated appliances and bespoke locker units with sound proof panels inset.
Newman House, St Stephens Green
Encompassing some minor building fabric repairs this project largely accounted for painting and decorating works to the protected structure of Newman House. Previous carpet finishes were lifted and removed off site, new broadloom high wool quality carpet was fitted in its place. All walls and woodwork were patched, prepared and painted to the specified paint finish in accordance with heritage guidelines. Working with UCD and APNA the works were carried out to a high quality in a timely manner.
Courtyard Renovation, University Lodge, UCD
This project required a full excavation of the courtyard in the University Lodge, UCD. A new drainage system comprised of slotted gullies and a perimeter french drain was formed, with all associated pipework feeding into the existing altered drainage system. A concrete sub-base was then poured with reinforced bars throughout, in doing so it was important to accurately form the necessary falls for drainage. Italian terracotta paving was then fitted, specific to the pattern designed by Lawrence + Long Architects, on top of the newly formed concrete base. The terracotta paving was then grouted and pebble stone fitted along the French drains.
National Virus Reference Laboratory, Belfield
The National Virus Reference Laboratory assigned Marron Bros to undertake a complete conversion of the existing canteen area to a fully functioning testing laboratory. The works included; installing white-rock sheeting, PVC floor covering, steel framed glazed clean room doors + screens, clean room, clean room standard suspended ceiling, chemical sinks, flammable safety cabinets, painting + decorating, digging an external trench for heating pipes, forming M+E ope through reinforced concrete floor and the supply + fitting of a fully galvanised steel roof to support newly installed AHU’s.
Careers Building, UCD
Existing single glazed aluminium units were completely removed from the Careers office and meeting rooms. New triple glazed units were fitted by Marron Bros and a new timber, weather clad pitched roof fitted at the protruding glazed area. New blinds were fitted were required and new Venetian blinds fitted. An existing white PVC exit door was decorated to match the newly installed items and the same was insulated above to help with heat retention.
CJK Headquarters, Ballycoolin
The project consisted of a total refurbishment of the existing CJK Electrical headquarters in Ballycoolin, Co Dublin. The project included; extending an existing intermediate floor, replacing existing two storey high roller shutter door with glazing. Along with the supply and fit of; a full kitchenette, disabled WC, office and meeting areas. Doors, frames and glazing were all fitted as full height items.
Bespoke Furiture
We are often asked to design and manufacture bespoke furniture items to suit our clients needs. We provide the customer with various design and when the design is chosen we manufacture, supply and fit. Over the years clients have requested various items to be designed, manufactured and fitted including; full size kitchens, timber sash windows, meeting tables and other furniture items, external cages, staff lockers, storage shelving units. All personnel at Marron Bros Ltd pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. There has never been a challenge too big or too small.
WCs Newman Building, UCD
Marron Bros Ltd have been tasked with renovating the existing bathrooms in the Newman Building on multiple occasions. Recent renovations include; the three floor levels at both FG and JK Blocks and the renovation of UCDs first Gender Neutral WC.
This work comprised of three toilets on three different floors of the Newman Building. Entire strip outs of existing fittings and building fabric were completed, followed by the supply and fit of all new cubicles, ips panelling systems, wash hand basins, toilet bowls, woodwork, etc. A disabled access bathroom was fitted in the JK Block which included a large American White Oak sliding door-set.
